Brendan helped demonstrate how a few simple techniques can really help in managing anxiety. By emphasising the
usefulness of controlled and proper breathing behaviour,
I was given a tool to use during my everyday life that proved effective at reducing levels of stress and negative thinking. Brendan proved useful to my recovery, because not only did he give me a few grounding techniques (such as the breathing exercises) to deal with particularly stressful moments, but he also provided me with some
food for thought on how one might go about managing their anxiety in the long term.

Brendan showed me the gateway technique and we talked about my strengths. We also did some voice dialogue with my action self and procrastinating self. Ifound this really surprising because I found myself doing things I would only have thought about before ... At the end of each session with Brendan I felt very positive. I enjoyed the coaching sessions very much.

The following words by Marianne
Williamson, author, spiritualist and lecturer resonate very strongly with me:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?
Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
